What is a hospitality morning dashboard and what should it show?
A morning dashboard is a one-screen daily summary for managers of last night's results and today's outlook. For a hotel it typically shows occupancy, ADR and RevPAR, labour cost against revenue, and arrivals and departures for the day ahead.
It matters because daily decisions on staffing, pricing and purchasing depend on fresh numbers, not month-end reports.
Good practice:
- Keep it to a handful of measures.
- Show actuals against forecast and against the same day last year or last week.
- Highlight exceptions rather than listing everything.
Zansa builds a morning dashboard with occupancy, RevPAR and labour, using PMS, POS and payroll data joined per property.
