Can I use BigQuery with Power BI and Metabase at the same time?
Yes. BigQuery is a standard SQL warehouse, so multiple BI tools can connect to the same modelled tables simultaneously. This is a strength of keeping logic in the warehouse: different teams can use different front ends while seeing identical numbers.
Considerations:
- Authentication: use service accounts or user credentials with appropriate roles.
- Cost: each tool's queries consume BigQuery resources, so monitor usage.
- Consistency: define metrics in warehouse models, not separately in each tool.
